News Story: Lack of Coordination Affecting Baghlan Operation

Abdul Hai Nemati, the governor of northern Baghlan, on Thursday said that the lack of coordination between security forces in the area is one of the key reasons behind the surge in security threats in the province.

Nemati expressed hope that the security forces will turn things around and defeat the Taliban in the area.

This comes one month after Afghan security forces launched a major anti-Taliban operation in Dand-e-Ghori district of Baghlan in northern Afghanistan in their bid to clear the volatile region of insurgents. 

However security forces so far have not been able to achieve their objectives.
