JALALABAD, Afghanistan, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- A total of eight Taliban militants have been killed and six others injured as government forces launched operations in Pachiragam district of the eastern Nangarhar province Wednesday night, an army spokesman said Thursday.
The official, who declined to be identified, also added that the operations would continue until the militants are wiped out from the area.
