Hanoi (VNA) – A Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung attended an ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Retreat on the situation of Rakhine state, Myanmar, on December 19.
The event was held in Yangon by Myanmar under the chair of the Foreign Minister of Laos, which holds currently the rotary ASEAN Chairmanship.
The Vietnamese head delegate welcomed the Myanmar government’s updating information for ASEAN member countries, which showed the respect and solidarity of the association.
He acknowledged the Myanmar government’s efforts in recent times, while hoping Myanmar overcome difficulties and resume stability soon.
