Jakarta (VNA) – Indonesia’s counterterrorism police arrested two Islamic State linked militants who allegedly planned bomb attacks at prominent places in Jakarta, including the Myanmar Embassy and government buildings.
A spokesperson for the Indonesian National Police, said Bahrain Agam was arrested on November 26 in Blang Tarakan village in the northernmost province of Aceh for providing 7 million rupiah (520 USD), planning to make a bomb and purchasing explosive materials.
Saiful Bahri was arrested on November 27 in Baros village in Jakarta’s neighbouring province of Banten for helping Rio Priatana Wibana build a bomb-making lab and planning attacks, the spokesperson added.
