Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam does not allow any countries to establish a military base in the country, Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson Le Hai Binh has stated.
He made the statement at a Foreign Ministry’s regular press conference in Hanoi on October 13 in response to queries about Russian media’s reports that its country considered returning to Cam Ranh port in Vietnam’s central province of Khanh Hoa.
He reiterated that Vietnam pursues a consistent policy of not joining any military alliance nor allying with any country to act against a third country, making it clear that that all statements by the ministry on the issue remain unchanged.
