KABUL, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- The fortified Afghan capital city of Kabul has experienced three deadly terrorist attacks and gun battle on Monday which ended on Tuesday, killing more than two dozen people, injuring 100 others and leaving many citizens in distress.
Twenty-four people including civilians and security personnel were killed and 90 others wounded in the two suicide bombings on Monday afternoon near the gate of Defense Ministry, according to officials.
Hours later on 11 p.m. Monday, attackers targeted an international humanitarian agency CARE International in downtown Kabul, triggering gun battle that was over after 11 hours of fierce fighting with all the four attackers killed.
The deadly series of attacks in the capital city have caused panic among Afghans and left the residents in shock.
