More than 20 villages were cleared of Taliban in a military operation conducted by security forces in Qala-e-Zal district in Kunduz, Afghan army's Pamir 20 Division said in a statement on Friday.
The statement added that the center of the district was also cleared of militants and that tens of Taliban fighters were killed and wounded in the military operation.
