Indonesian the government will be following Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte’s crime policy as aggressive as his approach on illegal drugs – Budi Waseso, Indonesia’s Anti-Narcotics chief told News Beat Social news story.
When President Jokowi Widodo of Indonesia won the election for presidency in 2014, he declared that Indonesia is in the state of national “emergency” and remains hard on executing its law against any drug offenses.
Waseso believes that emulating Duterte’s approach in the Philippines will help them crackdown illegal drug operations in the region noting that Indonesia’s drug problems is as bad as the Philippine. In addition, he said Indonesia will still enhance its weaponry, personnel and technologies as a part of its development and campaign.
