NEW DELHI, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh Tuesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and briefed him on the two-day visit of an all-party parliamentary delegation to Indian-controlled Kashmir.
Sources said Singh told the prime minister about the situation in Kashmir and the delegation's efforts to resolve the crisis in the northern region, where over 70 people have died in unrest since the killing of 22-year-old militant commander Burhan Wani by Indian security forces 58 days back.
The home minister Monday said that the government was keen on resolving the crisis in Kashmir.
The parliament is very serious about the situation there, Singh said, "We are working to alleviate the situation in Indian-controlled Kashmir."
