News Story: China donates radio equipment and systems to Cambodian Ministry of Defense

China's Ministry of Defense on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, handed over equipment and material for assembling a trunked radio system to Cambodian Ministry of Defense, officials said. Trunked radio system is a complex type of computer-controlled two-way radio system that allows sharing of radio frequency channels among a large group of users.

Col. Li Ningya, military attache of the Chinese embassy to Cambodia, delivered the equipment and material to Phorn Nara, director of the Cambodian Defense Ministry's telecommunications department, with the presence of Cambodia's Defense Ministry Secretary of State Cheang Am.

Li said fast and reliable communications were crucial for national defense sector, expressing his confidence that the assistance would contribute further to strengthening efficiency in communications among the armed forces.
