At least 12 Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were killed overnight while asleep at an outpost near Kunduz city, in what is believed to have been an insider attack, officials said on Tuesday.
According to a source two soldiers managed to escape the attack.
The Ministry of Defense (MoD) deputy spokesman Mohammad Radmanish confirmed the incident and said a team has been appointed to investigate the incident.
