YANGON, June 20 (Xinhua) -- Two of the seven non-ceasefire signatory armed groups of Myanmar - Wa and Mongla agreed to meet with government leaders in Nay Pyi Taw on ethnic conference, U Khin Zaw Oo, member of the 21st Century Panglong Ethnic Conference Preparatory Sub-Committee -2 told Xinhua Monday.
The two groups - the United Wa State Army (UWSA) and the National Democratic Alliance Army (NDAA) made a decision to attend the governmnet-sponsored 21st Century Panglong Ethnic Conference following a meeting in Mongla last Friday with the Panlong Conference Preparatory Sub-Committee-2, led by Dr. Tin Myo Win, who is the government's peace negotiator. The Panglong Conference is expected to be held in July and August.
