BISHKEK, June 17 (Xinhua) -- The problem of extremism and terrorism cannot be solved by using force only, Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev said Friday.
Atambayev made the remarks in a letter to an international anti-terrorism conference, which opened Thursday in Kyrgyzstan's Issyk-Kul oblast.
In his letter, Atambayev said in the modern world there are those that use the tools created for the benefit of mankind against the peaceful coexistence of people, countries and regions. He said one of the modern methods of warfare is the use of communication technologies by terrorist and extremist groups.
