KABUL, June 16 (Xinhua) -- Some 15 militants have been killed and 14 others detained by Afghan National Army personnel within the last 24 hours, the country's Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
"The ANA carried out several military operations in close coordination with police and national intelligence personnel in Ghazni, Paktika, Paktia, Badghis, Zabul and Uruzgan provinces, killing 15 armed terrorists and detaining 14 others," the ministry said in a statement providing daily operational updates.
