JAKARTA, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and 34 others wounded as local residents clashed in Indonesia's easternmost Papua province on Sunday, an official of the local disaster agency said on Sunday.
Eighteen out of the injured have been suffering from serious wounds in the clashes which erupted on April 9, head of operation at local disaster agency Feri Kagoya said.
"The conflict was triggered by an allegation of discrimination in distribution of government financial assistance," Kagoya told Xinhua.
