KABUL, March 28 (Xinhua) -- A rocket attack struck the Afghan parliament building in western Kabul on Monday, leaving no casualties, officials and witnesses said.
"Three rockets were fired from an unknown location towards the new parliament building at around 10:15 a.m. (local time). One rocket struck a building inside the parliament complex, sending a black smoke into the air," witness Mohammad Safa told Xinhua.
The rocket caused a hole in the stricken building and smashed windowpanes of the building, a security source said.
"The initial investigation found no one was hurt as a result of the attack," the source told Xinhua anonymously.
