USA: U.S.-Japan-Republic of Korea Trilateral Meeting in Washington, D.C.

Following up on the U.S.-Japan-Republic of Korea (ROK) trilateral summit hosted by President Obama in The Hague on March 25, Special Representative for North Korea Policy Glyn Davies will host a trilateral meeting in Washington, April 7, with his Japanese and ROK counterparts to exchange views on a wide range of issues related to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs Hwang Joon-kook and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director General for Asian and Oceanian Affairs Junichi Ihara will head the ROK and Japanese delegations, respectively.

These discussions reflect the close cooperation among our three countries and our continued focus on pursuing the verifiable denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula in a peaceful manner.
