USA: Acting Under Secretary Rose Gottemoeller Travels to Japan and the Republic of Korea


Rose Gottemoeller, Acting Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, will travel to Tokyo, Japan and Seoul, Republic of Korea (ROK), May 6 - 10.

From May 6 to 8, Acting Under Secretary Gottemoeller will be in Tokyo, Japan to discuss a wide ranging agenda including extended deterrence, missile defense cooperation, and arms control and nonproliferation issues with officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense.

On May 7, Acting Under Secretary Gottemoeller will speak with experts and academics at a nuclear policy roundtable discussion hosted by the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo.

From May 9 to 10, Acting Under Secretary Gottemoeller will be in Seoul, Republic of Korea to discuss a wide ranging agenda including extended deterrence, missile defense cooperation, and arms control and nonproliferation issues with officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense.

On May 10, Acting Under Secretary Gottemoeller will deliver remarks titled, “Arms Control, Nonproliferation and the Enduring U.S.-ROK Alliance,” at a public event hosted by the Asan Institute.
