Moscow urges Pyongyang to give up nuclear weapons and all military missile and nuclear programmes, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced today.
The ministry comments on the UN Security Council resolution on North Korea launching a long-range rocket on the 12th of December 2012.
The resolution was the response to North Korea’s violation of the UN Security Council’s decisions. The resolution confirms the UN Security Council’s adherence to finding a diplomatic solution of the Korean Peninsula’s nuclear problem and to resuming the six-way talks to reach this aim.
Moscow is calling North Korea to return to the Nuclear Arms Non-Proliferation Treaty and to join the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty.
