Royal Brunei Air Force and Indonesian National Armed Force – Air Force will be conducting the Bilateral Exercise Elang Brunesia in Brunei Darussalam from 19 to 22 Nov 2012 and it will be conducted for the first time by Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF).
The Opening ceremony commenced today at the Royal Brunei Air Force Base, starting off with a parade consisting of members from Operations Wing and Indonesian National Armed Force – Air Force. On hand to officiate the opening was the Commander of Operations Group, Lt Col (U) Muhd Harrith Rashidi bin Haji Muhd Jamin.
The purpose of this training is to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation between the two forces, as well as training in the implementation of air movement in a combination of search and rescue. In addition to that, it will further elevate the level of ‘inter-operability’ and preparedness between the two air forces, particularly in the field of professionalism, equipment, procedures and logistical support.
