DHAKA, Bangladesh, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Bangladesh has launched its first warship built in the country.
Bangladesh's Khulna Shipyard built the 255-ton patrol boat. The vessel, which can cruise at 20 miles per hour, carries is equipped with two 37mm and two 20mm guns, capable of engaging either other maritime ships or aircraft.
China Shipbuilding Offshore Co. supervised the warship's construction and provided both the designs and materials necessary for building it, the Daily Star reported.
