BRUNEI will stand a chance to fully benefit from the increased regional participation of the United States Navy, said Ray Mabus, the US Secretary of the Navy.
In an interview yesterday at the US Embassy in Brunei, the US Secretary of Navy said that as part of the US president's new defence strategy which was announced in January, "we are having an increased focus on the Western Pacific, this geographic region".
Among the many reasons for the increase, said the US Secretary, is to enhance regional participation with the US Navy and Marines in the Western Pacific region.
