JAKARTA, Oct 4 (Bernama) -- Indonesia is considering buying a submarine and frigates made by Asian countries to shore up its defence.
Indonesian National Army Chief of Staff (Navy) Admiral Suparno said the country did not choose submarine made in West Europe as it is not within its financial capacity.
"Most likely we will buy from Asian countries. We have already checked out a South Korean-made submarine," he was quoted in the portal kompas.com news on Tuesday.
