| Private Matthew Lambert Ramp Ceremony |
A private funeral service will be held for Private Matthew Lambert in the south east Queensland region this morning.
Private Matthew Lambert was killed in action while on patrol in Afghanistanon Monday 22 August.
Private Lambert was returned home on Monday 29 August 2011 during a Ramp Ceremony held at RAAF Amberley.
At the request of Private Lambert’s family, media will not be permitted inside the venue. No imagery of the ceremony will be made available to the media. The family asks the media to understand and respect their need for privacy at this difficult time.
The funeral service will be attended by Private Lambert’s family, friends and Army representatives.
