News Story: PHL may bring Spratly row before UN Int'l tribunal

MANILA, July 25 (PNA) -- President Benigno Aquino III said the Philippines may bring the Spratly's dispute before the United Nations (UN) International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea.
 
In his 2nd State of the Nation Address delivered on Monday before the joint session of Congress at the Batasan Complex, the President said his government is ready to defend its territories, especially those located in the West Philippine Sea (South China Sea).
 
“We do not wish to increase tensions with anyone, but we must let the world know that we are ready to protect what is ours,” he said.
