Pama visited Muara Naval Base and The Ministry of Defence as part of his introductory visit to Negara Brunei Darussalam since his appointment on 4 Jan 2011 after taking over duties from Rear Admiral Danilo Cortez due to the latter’s’ retirement
MUARA, Monday 11 April 2011 - The Philippines Navy (PN) Flag Officer in Command Vice Admiral Alexander P. Pama visited Muara Naval Base and The Ministry of Defence as part of his introductory visit to Negara Brunei Darussalam since his appointment on 4 Jan 2011 after taking over duties from Rear Admiral Danilo Cortez due to the latter’s’ retirement
Vice Admiral Alexander P. Pama visited Muara Naval base and was greeted by Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Yang Mulia Colonel (L) Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Mohd Hanifah. He then inspected the Guard of Honour followed by a courtesy call to Commander of RBN.
During his visit at the Ministry of Defence, Vice Admiral Alexander P. Pama called on the Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin before following a courtesy call to Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat.
During his stay in the Sultante, Vice Admiral Alexander P. Pama and his spouse Madam Carmela A. Pama visited historic places and tourist sites around Brunei Darussalam.
The visit was intended to promote the existing bilateral defence ties and cooperation between the two countries, Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of the Philippines enjoyed the defence relations not only with the frequent exchanges of visit, courses and joint exercises, but also in operational areas.
Vice Admiral Alexander P. Pama, the Philippines Navy Flag Officer in Command and spouse arrived on 10 April 2011 in Brunei Darussalam for a two day official visit.
