NEW DELHI, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- India Friday said it has taken up with Pakistan the release of one of its soldiers who had accidentally strayed into the neighboring country's territory Thursday.
"All attempts are being made to free 22-year-old soldier Chandu Babulal Chauhan from Pakistani captivity," Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh told the media in the national capital.
Reports of Chauhan's capture by the Pakistani Army came hours after the Indian Army Thursday announced that it conducted surgical strikes on terror launch pads in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.
