PYONGYANG, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Tuesday slammed South Korean President Park Geun-hye for her recent remarks on the "collapse of the North" and accused her of seeking inter-Korean confrontation.
"The real intention of Park is to shore up the totally bankrupt policy of escalating confrontation with the DPRK ... and defuse the ruling crisis," said a spokesman for the DPRK's Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country.
The spokesman condemned Park for her calls for defection from the DPRK and her remarks on Sunday saying that the country is threatening the future of the Korean peninsula and that it must be forced to change.
