News Story: Critics Welcome Kabul's Decision To Boycott SARRC Summit

Afghan government on Thursday said it will not participate at the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SARRC) summit expected to be held in Pakistan as long as big security issues in the region are addressed.

"Afghanistan will not participate at SARRC summit in Pakistan as long as the neighboring countries' vision is clarified about security and other issues in the region," said Shahussain Murtazavi, deputy spokesman for President Ashraf Ghani.

Meanwhile, a number of analysts said they welcome the move by Afghan government and that Afghanistan can use more options to isolate Pakistan.
