The first batch of Ground Self-Defense Force (GSDF) members, who participated in U.N. peacekeeping operations in South Sudan, returned to Japan on April 19 after completing their mission.
The 70 members have returned to the GSDF's Aomori camp, where they were greeted warmly by their families and co-workers, after arriving at Haneda Airport in Tokyo on the morning of April 19.
